WWI British Royal Naval Air Service was a separate air arm that came into being in 1912 and became official on July 1, 1914. On April 1, 1918 they merged with the Royal Flying Corp to form the Royal Air Force. When they started they were a reserve unit and the pilot had metal wings. This is a museum quality reproduction of those extremely rare Pilot wings in brass as were the originals. They are two inches wide and have screw back, the proper nuts will be provided. I believe this is the only British wing ever issued in metal.
