Navy USMC Pilot Current Sterling Silver with Gold Plate

 

It is very unusual to have the current Navy/ USMC wings in sterling with a gold plate, most wings made today are junk metal with a gold plate. These wings are regulation 2 3/4 inch and cast in Sterling then gold plated with a layer of 24karat gold. They are hallmarked sterling and W-32. This is the same wing that was used since after WWII.
