Army Spc. Gary W. Walters Jr. died April 24, 2005 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedomassigned to the 1st Battalion, 9th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga.; killed April 24 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee in Baghdad.
