He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group,Fort Bragg, N.C.; died Aug. 3 in Jalalabad Air Field Hospital, Afghanistan, from a non-combat related incident while on patrol in Nangarhar province, Afghanistan.
