USMC –Eagle Globe and Anchor – 1880 Enlished Pattern Sterling Kepi

This is a museum quality reproduction of the extremely rare 1880-81 Enlisted EGA in Sterling Silver. This EGA is shown in Jim Moran’s Book US Marine Uniforms 1912-1940 on page 154, Figure 38. This design was used in a variety of ways from use on shoulder knots to hat device. The reproduction shown here is for the rare shoulder knot with the proper tabs in the back the version you are purchasing is gold on sterling with a wire back for a Kepi hat. Other versions are available. It is estimated that 1 in 50 EGAs from this period are of this design.
